A chic new Asian seafood restaurant has opened at DIFC

When it comes to fine dining in Dubai, the cosmopolitan DIFC district is a place for those who want to see and be seen. With Amazonico pioneering Latin American cuisine, Zuma a favorite for contemporary Japanese cuisine, and many more, there’s a new player in town offering something completely different.

Blue Seafood Asia is the chic new Asian seafood restaurant just opened at the upscale Waldorf Astoria DIFC hotel, offering a casual yet elegant way to dine. It was inspired by “the bustling fish markets, upbeat vibes and sensational cooking techniques of seaside Asia”, so you can expect an authentic experience.

Spread over an area of ​​7,000 square feet, Blue Seafood Asia features a relaxed dining and living area and terrace with fantastic views of the DIFC rooftops. As this is a seafood restaurant, the interior is inspired by the Asian Ocean, decked out in nautical blues against beach woods, with a cool Asian mural framing the open kitchen.

The menu, inspired by China, Japan and Singapore, Thailand, India and Sri Lanka, was designed by chef Andrei Voitovici. You can choose your favorite seafood from the oyster and vegetable bar which offers platters of sushi, nigiri and sashimi. Starters include seared crab cake wrapped in mango, kiwi and papaya vinaigrette or tangy nori shrimp tempura iced with Thai mayonnaise.

Specialties include tom yum & dumplings, blue crab platter and pot of mussels. For rice and noodle lovers, try the egg infused pad thai noodles, made from the noodle pulling station, coated in mixed veg, fiery chili paste and crunchy peanuts, or there’s a stir-fry of mixed mushrooms.

Make sure to leave room for dessert, with perfect entrees like Matcha Coco Cloud Dessert soaked in lime zest and ripe mango or a cheesecake soaked in lychee, chestnut and stimulating rose petals. The bar will serve all your favorite drinks, from wines, beers and spirits to eye-catching cocktails.
