NEWARK, NJ – A new seafood restaurant has opened in Newark at the Springfield Avenue Marketplace.

Snap Back by Hook & Reel, a “fast and casual” take on the popular seafood concept Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood and Bar, recently opened in the market, located at 204-234 Springfield Avenue in the University Heights neighborhood. of Newark.

It will offer take-out and delivery options and focus on providing a “quick-serve, convenient dining experience,” according to a press release.

“With its boiled seafood menu that allows customers to customize their meal as well as offering po’ boys and wings, Snap Back by Hook & Reel is a perfect fit for Springfield Avenue Marketplace, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to the property,” said LMC Senior Leasing Representative EJ Moawad.

“This concept will be a significant traffic generator and contribute to the overall appeal of Springfield Avenue Marketplace, enhancing the variety of dining choices for shoppers and the wider community,” Moawad said.

With the addition of its new tenant – who signed a “long-term lease” – the Springfield Avenue Marketplace is now 100% occupied, according to Levin Management Corporation (LMC), the property’s leasing and management agent. .

Other dining options at the property include Popeyes, Taco Bell, McDonalds, Sarku Japan, and a pizzeria. Other tenants include Snipes/Kicks USA, Ashley Stewart, H&R Block, T-Mobile, Metro PCS, CityLife Medical Clinic and UBreakiFix.

According to LMC, the market serves a “dense consumer base” of about 414,000 people within a three-mile radius.
