Cajun Seafood Restaurant offers healthy options in Cherry Hill

The restaurant, located at 104 Route 70 East in Cherry Hill, is the burgeoning hotel and restaurant group’s 72nd location and 13th in New Jersey, according to the restaurant’s owners.

But this place stands out.

The Cherry Hill location features the debut of New Jersey’s first robotic waiter, Bella, which the owners say solves the universal staffing shortages the hospitality industry is currently experiencing.

In time for Christmas Eve, the restaurant is offering a healthier “seven fish” menu, in which diners choose 10-12 ounces of fish ranging from salmon to tilapia and served with seasonal vegetables, potatoes and Cajun rice.

Food is grilled and flambéed next to the table as a unique way to finish the dish. Fish prices range from $16.99 to $23.99.

Additional new items include Chicken, Shrimp or Bourbon Steak Bowls, which also range from $16.99 to $23.99, and Seafood Pasta with Shrimp, Clams and Mussels for $18.99.

“We’re thrilled to be part of the community and provide delicious food in a fun, casual setting in the Cherry Hill area,” said Nick Pingitore, General Manager of Crab Du Jour Cajun Boil & Bar. “New Jersey has such a rich culinary history with seafood that it makes perfect sense for us to expand here.”

Signature porridges from a variety of seafood options are available for $7.50 to $14.50 for a half pound and $13.99 to $28.99 for a pound. Seafood is boiled, then steamed through a bag and presented to the table with seasonings of your choice in three heat intensities with corn and potatoes.

Seasoning options include Cajun, Garlic Butter, Old Bay, Lemon Pepper, and the “Du Jour,” which incorporates all of the options. Additional add-ins include broccoli ($3.99) and half-pound sausages ($5.99 or $9.99).

Also available:

  • a variety of Po’Boys ($12.99 – $14.99);
  • burgers and sliders ($10.99 – $13.99);
  • soups ($6.99 – $8.99);
  • salads ($5.99 – $8.99); and
  • appetizers, ranging from spring rolls to cheesesteak ($8.99) to fried pickles ($5.99) and chicken wings ($10.99-$19.99) available in BBQ, Cajun, Buffalo or lemon pepper.

Kids’ menu offerings include chicken tenderloins, fried shrimp, chicken sliders or fried flounder, all for $6.99.

The drink menu includes maritime-inspired cocktails for $10. Crab claws are made with Tito’s vodka, tequila, orange juice, and grenadine. Mermaid’s Lemonade uses Rumhaven, Pink Lemonade and Blue Curacao. The Blue Lagoon is made with Captain Morgan, coconut rum, blue curacao, pineapple and orange juice.

Additionally, a variety of red and white wines are available by the glass and bottle, as well as a selection of craft beers on tap, in cans and in bottles.

The restaurant occupies over 7,000 square feet and can accommodate approximately 250 diners. It is open from Sunday to Thursday, from 11.30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Founded in 2019, the North Carolina-based multi-concept, multi-unit Crab Du Jour restaurant group has 72 Crab Du Jour and Crab Du Jour Xpress locations across the country and a premium surf and turf concept, The Fin, in Philadelphia.
