HomeGrown to Open Breakfast and Lunch Restaurant in Des Moines

A new breakfast and lunch restaurant is about to move in next door Big Grove Brewery at Sherman Hill. Home made is bringing its menu of lemon and ricotta pancakes, turkey and avocado sandwiches and homemade pop pies to the Crescent Building at 555 17th St. by the end of the year.

Restaurateurs Jon and Lauren Rolph opened HomeGrown five years ago in Wichita and have expanded the business to five locations in the Kansas City metro area and Wichita.

“We believe that if we help each other get a good start to the day, we’ll ignite a contagious chain of positive acts that cultivate kindness across Des Moines,” Jon Rolph said in a statement.

In Wichita and Kansas City, the restaurant is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
