Littleneck seafood restaurant pop-up at Time Out Market New York
Sweetheart Small Neck restaurant has been a brooklyn Seafood a must-visit place since it opened in Gowanus in 2011. Back then, it quickly established a stellar reputation with its up-to-date, stylish venue maritime decor and the walk-in policy, which has made grabbing a table a rare treat for those with some patience.
Luckily for fish, bivalve and shellfish lovers near and far, entry has become a little easier with the addition of reservations over the ensuing decade. A couple of long-time employees and another partner also took over just over two years ago. And now they’re bringing their fantastic oysters, clams, shrimp, crabs and lobsters to the beautiful fifth-floor rooftop of Time Out Market New York.
The Littleneck pop-up opens Wednesday, June 8 and continues through the fall. It’s adjacent to the Love Local Brews Bar in the market, so you can pair your choice with some exceptional New York-area beer. A sprawling seating area inside and more tables outside have lovely postcards (or instagram) worthy views of the East River and Manhattan. And you can donate to Free time in New York Best in Town Award winner Billion Oyster Project, which aims to improve the environment by restoring live oysters to New York’s waterways like the one just outside, adding $1 or more to your check total.
