Shucks Glasgow: Opening date and menu confirmed for the city’s newest seafood restaurant
Glasgow’s latest seafood restaurant will open this month, “serving the finest produce from Scottish waters”.
£250,000 has been invested in Hyndland-based Shucks, a new venture by Epicures co-owners Paul and Chris Charalambous, Cail Bruich and Brett, in partnership with lead hotel investor and itison founder Oli Norman.
And the team behind the new dining spot confirmed today that Shucks will start welcoming customers from March 30.

Dishes were designed by Chef Shaun Haggarty with the team behind Michelin-starred Cail Bruich leading a kitchen brimming with culinary talent.
Menu highlights include Shucks Champagne Clams, Green Chili, Cilantro, and Charred Sourdough; BBQ halibut with trotter glaze; and small plates and bar snacks like Hamachi Crudo and Tator tots, chive creme fraiche and herring caviar.
Meanwhile, mouth-watering seafood options will be complemented by a carefully curated selection of drinks for dinner parties and strolls in the stylish cocktail bar, wine bar and ground floor outdoor terrace.
The beverage program will include a champagne and cocktail trolley brought to your table, a wine and champagne list carefully curated by Cail Bruich’s Head Sommelier, and seasonal cocktails including the house Negroni.
Co-owner Paul Charalambous said, “We are thrilled to open our fourth location in our hometown. Like all of our establishments, we have worked closely with our suppliers across Scotland to ensure that the very best products are on the table for customers to enjoy. The menu is experimental but accessible and highlights the simplicity of seafood from our Scottish coasts.

“Shucks has been a long-awaited opening for the team and we can’t wait to open our doors to the great people of Glasgow and beyond.”
The £250,000 refurbishment of the 80-seat venue is being carried out by Glasgow-based Surface ID, who designed sister venues Cail Bruich, Brett and Epicures. The renovation will see the Hyndland spot, site of the former Nicks, transformed into a cozy restaurant, bar and outdoor terrace for locals and those from further afield.
Shucks will officially open on Wednesday March 30 and bookings will go live on Friday March 18 at www.shucksglasgow.com.
