BrickTop for breakfast?

Building on his popular Sunday brunch, Troy Imler, Managing Partner of local BrickTop’s, opened the restaurant for breakfast, served in the bar and on the patio only from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday. (The Frontenac location is the only unit in the seven-unit chain to do so.) Skylines a bit. In addition to brunch staples like egg benedict and brioche French toast, Imler added options like avocado toast with a poached egg (on the photo on the right), smoked salmon bagel, fruit granola, yogurt parfait and egg BLT. Reservations are accepted online or by phone. 10342 Clayton, 314-567-6300.

Septic stench

Chances are we’ve all encountered the musty smell of stale mop water upon entering a restaurant, but the more putrid smells of a freshly cleaned grease trap or, more commonly, d a floor drain (usually behind the bar) are much more unpleasant. has not been emptied recently. (The water in the trap eventually evaporates, allowing sewer gas to escape into the building.) Whatever the reason, the conservator should take care of it, because we can’t. Call a plumber. Call Roto-Rooter. Call MSD. Because we have already called another restaurant, and we are not alone.
